CSEAS Kyoto University Fellowship (Deadline May 31, 2018)

Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at Kyoto University hosts scholars and researchers who work on comparative and regional issues from a multi-area perspective, and are interested in spending time in Kyoto, Japan to conduct research, write, or pursue other scholarly interests in connection with their field of study.

Fellowships are normally between a period of three to six months, although in exceptional cases they can be extended for an additional six months.

Applicants must be productive scholars of high reputation under 65 years of age at the time of the fellowship appointment; those over 65 may be considered only if they are outstanding. This fellowship is not available to individuals currently pursuing graduate degrees or post-doctoral studies. Only experienced librarians are eligible to apply for the library position.

Universitas Gadjah Mada Summer Course 2018: International Labour Migration in the Shifting World (Deadline 1 Jun 2018)

International Labour Migration in the Shifting World: New Insights and Policy Challenges summer course combines classroom learning and field observations. At the end of the course, students will be required to conduct fieldwork in the area and present their findings to the class.

Applications are welcome from post-graduates, PhD Students, and professionals. Scholarship will be provided to 20 selected participants from ASEAN Countries, and those from outside ASEAN will be covered accommodation and meals, but not air travel. The results will be announced on 28 June 2018.
